    Pricing tips

The time spent on thousands of individual stitches is often the most significant cost in any crochet project. Without a clear system, it is easy to overlook the value of your skilled labor and the meters of yarn used.

    Questions

How do I price different yarn weights?

Input the specific pack price and length for each type of yarn you use. The calculator will find the cost per meter for your specific project.

Do I need to include the cost of my crochet hooks?

Equipment like hooks are usually considered fixed costs. You can add a small portion of your tool expenses to your monthly fixed cost total.

How do I calculate labor for complex amigurumi?

Track your active crochet time from start to finish. Our tool multiplies these minutes by your hourly rate to ensure your skill is paid for.

How Tagzinho works out your price

Each ingredient costs the share of its pack you use: 500 g of a 2.27 kg bag at $4.29 is $0.94.

Your time and a share of your monthly fixed costs are added to every unit.

The price is solved so that after the marketplace takes its percentage and fixed fee, you still keep your profit margin. Most calculators add the fee last and you end up short.
